This is a simple ‘coming soon’ placeholder template for websites under construction. Apart from the usual coming soon text, it contains:
- A countdown area to let users know how long before the actual site launches
- A contact panel with the contact e-mail ID and phone number
- A social media panel with space for displaying the latest twitter posts and icons to popular social web apps
To top it off, the template is available in three color vairations – blue, green & red.
All HTML files are HTML 4.01 Strict compliant. The CSS files are structured and formatted for clarity and easy editing. The template has been tested to work in IE7, Firefox 3, Chrome 2, Safari 4 & Opera 10 (and above).
Also included is a Fireworks layered PNG file for editing the theme as required.
Note: The templates are static and do not contain the javascript needed for the countdown timer or the twitter update.

I was wondering, how can I display my tweets??
You need to use javascript to pull tweets from Twitter’s API . I’m not much with javascript myself, so haven’t done it yet. But there seem to be a lot of tutorials around for that.
ReplyDeleteGreat holding page, for anyone who is interested in a simple javascript for the countdown, it’s easily modified if you want to use JUST the day count down and not the phrasing surrounding it.

This is a great JavaScript. However, the source files is all flat png backgrounds that has a set width and height. So if you wanted to edit the area where there’s email and phone, or adding a short paragraph there or somewhere else, you won’t be able to. EVEN the hyphen is embedded in the flat background image. i bought it and did nothing with it.
