The purpose of this guide to get you up and running with this fine theme you purchased my friend!
Upload the app folder from the theme package to the root directory of your Magento software, using an FTP client.
Upload the skin folder from the theme package to the root directory of your Magento software, using an FTP client.
Go to:
Magento Admin » System » Configuration » Design and enter info in the following fields:
In Themes / Default write tribeca
In Header / Logo Image Src write images/logo.gif
click Save Config
Under Magento Admin » System » Cache Management clear the store cache as well as all cookies for your store domain.

Installation
The purpose of this guide to get you up and running with this fine theme you purchased my friend!
Please be sure to backup your Magento installation before beginning this process.
This guide assumes that you have successfully downloaded the Tribeca theme and have the zip file unzipped. Please make sure that you have a compliant Magento version (Magento CE Version 1.4.1.x, 1.5.x, 1.6.0.0 and 1.6.1.0 !).
STEP 1
Upload the app folder from the theme package to the root directory of your Magento software, using an FTP client.
STEP 2
Upload the skin folder from the theme package to the root directory of your Magento software, using an FTP client.
STEP 3
Go to:
Magento Admin » System » Configuration » Design and enter info in the following fields:
In Themes / Default write tribeca
In Header / Logo Image Src write images/logo.gif
click Save Config
STEP 4
Under Magento Admin » System » Cache Management clear the store cache as well as all cookies for your store domain.

how do I change the size of the pictures/gallery on the home page

Does everybody get help from theme team like that or is there something wrong with me?
In the Admin Panel, go to CMS >Pages>Home Page, and then modify the images under the div with id “imgContainer” if you want to change the size or even number of the images in the slideshow.
ReplyDeleteAlso, to make this theme work even under IE10 , change /\bmsie [1-6]/i in line 28 of /app/code/local/WP/CustomMenu/Block/Toggle.php to /\bmsie [1-6]\./i, so that it doesn’t treat IE10 as if it were IE1 ; I’m surprised the author hadn’t future-proofed the theme.
NOTE : I didn’t buy this theme myself, but I’m working with a web-dev firm that did and I just fixed what was making the theme break in the IE10 Preview for Windows 7.

bvcoskun, just make the categories under each store-view in the Admin Panel under Catalog>Manage Categories; the subcategories under the top-level store-view will show up as the individual links in the header, their subcategories will show up as drop-down menus from their parent category, and their subcategories will show up by default as pop-out menus from their parent.
