ReplyDeleteI’m sorry mixer I love this theme but If I would have known the contact form didn’t I wouldn’t of bought it. I just can’t understand how people can build a theme and not include a working contact page. I still love the theme but am a bit frustrated none the less.

I like this theme and want to purchase, but I’m REALLY concerned that when I preview the theme, my computer completely starts slowing down, scrolling is difficult even in non-web programs.
ReplyDeleteWhy is that an issue? Is that something you can resolve? Is anyone else encountering this? This is the only theme I’ve looked at that effects the entire computer this way. My CPU usage goes and STAYS at 100%. I’m certain it centers around the jquery effect, but a lot of other sites use jquery, but do not max out CPU .
Please give me feedback on this before I purchase.

@k_grinde I use firefox latest and ie8 and I have not encountered what you have found. I have only viwed the theme on this demo here,as Im waiting for the wordpress version before I purchase the theme.
ReplyDeleteI found the theme loads quickly, although its pretty big I checked it on pingdom.cpm and you can see the results here

It’s a good theme and some good code, I can’t see any reasons for poor cpu performance. My guess is your box may be trying to load something, or there may be a conflict somewhere.
Verdict: I don’t think its the theme, Ive previewed several here and naturel theme is certainly faster than many others I’ve seen on the demos.
I’ve done a little more testing too. It does seem to be a theme issue, but as it relates to Chrome. It does not use such high resources in FF and IE. But it really does in Chrome. It loads fast and fine, but it seems to really hold something in memory. I switched to the #2 home page option and the resources dropped down to normal, so it seems to be the home page #1 theme in chrome.
ReplyDeleteI tried the theme in chrome today. 4 seconds to load fully on an empty cache. No other sites loaded in the bowser. Also tried theme home #2 Various inner pages and back to home again.
ReplyDeleteSilly question, but do you have all the browser plugins installed and running javascript/flash/ etc ??? On by machine it uses between 49,000k-51,000k on chrome.exe
windows 2 mbit connection 1.2 dual core 4 gig memory, nothing special here… try yslow or firebug http://developer.yahoo.com/yslow/

with the right side menu dropping down the page – There are a lot of pages there, but if you check right hand menu and click on some of them – some are ok and some not.

Chewbaka, I was bored so I took a look at your site and I see the problem. Your menu is really messed up. You are kissing some closing tags and have some pages listed here and not there. I cleaned it up and I think this will help. All you need to do is copy and paste and of course move the “current” class tot eh correct page:

I think you should read this article to setup your menu rightly.
