Cielo Web Site Template is a light 6 pages template that you can use for your personal web site, company portfolio, to extend your blog features etc. It come with 2 different skins that you can switch based on time – users during daytime will see day skin and users during night hours will see the night skin (pretty cool:-). Note that an automatic skin change script is not included.

    I want to purchase, however I am a novice in web design. I need to change the skin color to a more earthtone, browns and diff hues of brown. I would also like to place my company logo in place of the signatures …. Am I able to do that fairly simply with this template?

    Hi Ronvee,


    You need some minimal experience with HTML /CSS in order to make custom changes in the template. Additionally, if for example you change the main header with the clouds to something brown(ish) you will need some experience with Photoshop or similar program for image editing to match the new colour tone. Frankly speaking I’m not sure that brown colour will fit the clouds in the header but of course you can change the entire header image and replace it with something in your choice.

    I’m thinking of using this for a client and wondered if you knew of a script that would automatically change the skin from day to night?

    Hi Tinnud,


    It can be done easily with PHP or JS. Here is an example done with PHP :

    It will redirect you based on the time of the server. I made a quick example here:
    http://byseal.com/site/time.php – it will redirect you to the day page between 08h and 24h and to night page between 24h and 08h

    A quick one about the blog, when i ad entries to the blog. Should they all be added in the file blog_single_post or should i make a new file for each entry.

    Hi,


    the file blog_single_post.html is a template for a blog entry. So you will need a different file for the entry if you don’t use some blog system like Wordpress.


    If you want to display a headline in the file blog.html you just need to copy/paste everything between the comments:
    <!- Blog entry start ->
    and
    <!- Blog entry end ->

    You mentioned Wordpress in a previous post—Can you use Wordpress for the blog? If not, how would I add blog entries? (I do not know any programming/code and will be paying someone to set this site up for me).

    Yes, you can use Wordpress for the blog part, but you need someone to adjust it to follow the design of the template
